With over 15 years of experience directing musicals, teaching vocal technique and monologue prep to kids, I absolutely love my job. I have spent the last several years working with middle school and high school students as they prepare for high school auditions and navigate the adolescent changing voice. I’m happy and very lucky to have my own studio in Brooklyn having formerly taught with Julliard, Covenant of the Sacred Heart, Epic Players, Brooklyn Children's Theatre, and The Studio Performing Arts . In my studio, we work on breath management, lower abdominal support, functional alignment, resonance, managing vocal load, vocal agility, calling (aka belting), head register, and speech register. We also touch on performance anxiety and confidence through skill building and thinking like an athlete. Through musical theatre, we will explore various singing styles in order to tell each story. In audition coaching, we will prepare for preforming arts high school auditions, college and professional opportunities whether you are prepping monologues, songs or both.
