GET TO KNOW ME
I am a voice actor with a BFA in Musical Theatre, so a nerd for the voice! I love to teach singing technique and monologue prep to kids (12+) as well as adults, and I’m particularly interested in the adolescent changing voice. I’ve been teaching since 2010, sharing my passion for singing, acting, and voice over. I’ve taught a musical theatre intensive through Julliard, and spent years working with Covenant of the Sacred Heart, Epic Players, Brooklyn Children's Theatre, and The Studio Performing Arts before opening my own studio to focus on individual students.
In my studio, we work on breathing technique, lower abdominal support, functional alignment, resonance, managing vocal load, vocal agility, calling (aka belting), head register, and speech register. Through musical theatre, we will explore various singing styles in order to tell each story. In audition coaching, we will prepare for preforming arts high school auditions and professional opportunities whether you are prepping monologues, songs or both. I am here to help you navigate the confusing work of performing arts high school auditions as you prepare.
